CME Accreditation and Credit Designation statement
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the University of Pittsburgh and MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center. The University of Pittsburgh is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physician (CME)
The University of Pittsburgh designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Other health care professionals will receive a certificate of attendance confirming the number of contact hours commensurate with the extent of participation in this activity. 

Nursing: The MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association Approver Unit an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This event is eligible for 6.5 credit hours.

Social Work: This program is offered for 6.5 CE hours of social work continuing education through cosponsorship of the University of Pittsburgh's School of Social Work, a Council on Social Work Education accredited school and therefore a PA pre-approved provider of social work continuing education. These credit hours satisfy requirements for LSW/LCSW, LMFT, and LPC biennial license renewal. For information on social work continuing education please visit socialwork.pitt.edu/continuing-ed.

When completing the evaluation, if you just need a certificate of attendance, you can select that option as well.

Continuing Education credits issued for participation in CE activity may not apply toward license renewal in all states.  It is the responsibility of each participant to verify the requirements of their state licensing board(s).
