Dr. Linda Frank Receives Penn State Alumni Fellow Award

Dr. Linda Frank ’82, Nur, professor at the University of Pittsburgh’s schools of public health, nursing, and medicine and director of the MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center (MAAETC), has been honored with the Penn State Alumni Fellow Award.

The Alumni Fellow Award is the most prestigious award presented by the Penn State Alumni Association. Established in 1973, the award recognizes select Penn State alumni who have demonstrated leadership and distinction in their professional fields. Award recipients are nominated by an academic college and invited by the President of Penn State to return to campus to share their expertise and experiences with students, faculty, and administrators.

A nationally recognized leader in HIV/AIDS education and public health, Dr. Frank directs the MAAETC and an infectious disease-focused Master of Public Health program at the University of Pittsburgh. Her work focuses on HIV care, workforce development, public health education, and health equity.

Dr. Frank is also a life member of the Penn State Alumni Association. Through her career in public health, education, and HIV/AIDS care, she has made significant contributions to advancing health education and strengthening the public health workforce.

The MAAETC congratulates Dr. Frank on this distinguished recognition and celebrates her continued leadership in public health and HIV/AIDS education.
