- Discuss the routes of HIV transmission and factors that increase the risk of acquiring HIV.
- Identify approved medications for HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and their indications for use.
- Recognize missed opportunities to discuss PrEP with patients during clinical encounters.
- Discuss the role of healthcare providers in educating patients about HIV and prevention methods.
