GOAL:

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Review trauma-informed strategies and motivational interviewing techniques tailored to address the unique challenges faced by clients with HIV.
- Discuss approaches to improving access to services for people with HIV to optimize HIV health outcomes.
- Explore strategies to improve client engagement and enhance long-term HIV care and treatment adherence.
- Demonstrate how collaboration can be used to better support medical case managers working with clients affected by HIV, promoting person-centered care.
- Discuss the administrative aspects of creating appropriate case management notes, ensuring they accurately reflect the needs, progress, and challenges faced by people with HIV while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Review the traits of effective supervision and strategize ways to maximize its value for medical case mangers working with people with HIV, ensuring supervisors provide guidance, resources, and support to address the complex needs of these clients.
ACCREDITATION
You are only eligible for continuing education or a certificate of attendance if you register, attend the full program, and then complete all required evaluations within 1 week of the program.
Social Work: This training is co-sponsored by the Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research for maximum of 5.5 credit hours. As a CSWE accredited program, Bryn Mawr College GSSWSR is a pre-approved provider of continuing education for Social Workers in Pennsylvania and many other states. Supported by a grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), HIV/AIDS Bureau, Office of Program Support.
Continuing Education credits issued for participation in CE activity may not apply toward license renewal in all states. It is the responsibility of each participant to verify the requirements of their state licensing board(s).
