This series will provide initial and ongoing training for case managers as they are on-boarded within specific agencies and programs. The goal of this training plan is to provide all Ryan White Part B Case Managers (CM) statewide with fundamental and foundational case management knowledge and skills to provide quality services for their clients.

• Review Pennsylvania HIV epidemiology and the national & global impact
• List types of HIV tests and interpretation of test results
• Identify clinical concerns in HIV care and prevention
• Discuss testing and confidentiality in HIV care
• Describe the state of treatment and adherence strategies
• Review HIV, hepatitis, and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
• Discuss treatment as prevention and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)

ACCREDITATION

You are only eligible for continuing education or a certificate of attendance if you register, attend the full program, and then complete all required evaluations within 1 week of the program.

Social Work: This training is co-sponsored by the Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research for maximum of 5.5 credit hours. As a CSWE accredited program, Bryn Mawr College GSSWSR is a pre-approved provider of continuing education for Social Workers in Pennsylvania and many other states. Supported by a grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), HIV/AIDS Bureau, Office of Program Support. 

Continuing Education credits issued for participation in CE activity may not apply toward license renewal in all states.  It is the responsibility of each participant to verify the requirements of their state licensing board(s).
