The program reviews the Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogen Standards, designed to reduce the cross-transmission of pathogens in the Dental Health Care setting. Topics include HIV care and Occupational Exposure Protocols following an injury. The use of the Ora Quick salivary assay, at chairside, designed to identify patient with HIV is reviewed.
