Description

The program reviews the Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogen Standards, designed to reduce cross-transmission of pathogens in the Dental Health care setting. Topics discussed include HIV care and occupational exposure protocols following an injury. The use of the OraQuick salivary assay, at chairside, designed to identify an individual with HIV is planned.
