This training will move beyond foundational PrEP education to explore practical strategies for expanding PrEP access, engagement, and uptake among underserved communities. The session will examine persistent barriers to PrEP utilization, medical mistrust, provider assumptions, cost and insurance concerns, limited messaging, and gaps in linkage and navigation support.
Participants will learn how healthcare professionals, case managers, prevention staff, and community-facing teams can strengthen PrEP conversations, normalize biomedical HIV prevention, and support more equitable access to PrEP services.
