Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, learners should be better able to:
- Describe the clinical relevance of syndemics in HIV acquisition, progression, and care outcomes.
- Identify key syndemic conditions commonly encountered in HIV care settings, including STIs, substance use disorders, viral hepatitis, and mental health conditions.
- Describe appropriate screening strategies to identify syndemic conditions during routine HIV care or prevention visits.
