Routine STI screening is essential to whole-person care in both HIV and primary care settings—but implementation can be challenging. This session offers a practical, step-by-step approach to building (or strengthening) routine STI screening workflows, grounded in real-world lessons learned from an SPNS-supported implementation across nine clinics.
Learning Objectives:
- Name four evidence-based interventions used to routinize sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening, testing, and treatment in providing HIV healthcare services.
- Identify challenges and successes of implementation of these interventions in different clinics.
- Discuss steps you can take to implement these or similar interventions in your clinic to normalize routine STI screening, testing, treatment, and follow-up.
