By the end of this session, the learner will be able to:

1. Describe the role hospital systems can play in early diagnosis of HIV and reducing disease progression.
2. Review CDC recommendations for HIV testing, including opt-out testing and confidentiality.
3. Identify opportunities for testing in emergency departments, inpatient units, and outpatient clinics.
4. Discuss models for rapid linkage to ART and its importance.
