Course Description
This course is designed to share with clinicians prescribing, or looking to prescribe PrEP, best practices for PrEP screening and uptake for special populations in a clinical setting. This course provides an overview of PrEP, best practices for patient screening, and tips for maintaining a Status Neutral approach to HIV Prevention and Care.
Objectives
- Review the use of PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) for the prevention of HIV transmission
- Develop strategies for appropriate screening for PrEP across a variety of practice settings
- Discuss the potential considerations for individualizing PrEP based on patient and medication characteristics
