This series welcomes healthcare professionals working in the field of HIV. This is the first training of our 4 part training series, which was created in collaboration with the MidAtlantic AETC Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) Workgroup. This series will allow participants to develop an understanding of the foundations and essentials to HIV care, treatment and prevention.

The Howard University partner of the MAAETC in collaboration with our regional Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) workgroup, will be providing an update on the latest medical interventions associated with HIV prevention.
Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the role of prevention in ending the HIV epidemic
- Identify approved antiretroviral medications used for HIV prophylaxis
- Understand the screening process to identify an ideal candidate for PrEP.
