Description

This one-hour patient care conference is held weekly and is expressly for care providers in the Ryan White EIS grant at the Positive Health Clinic in Morgantown, WV.  Patients are presented using the multidisciplinary team model. The discussion is led by Infectious Diseases Specialists –Arif Sarwari, MD and/or John Guilfoose, MD

A variety of the listed topics will be discussed at this event.

  • Behavioral Prevention
  • Treatment as Prevention (e.g., U=U)
  • Adult and adolescent antiretroviral treatment
  • Aging and HIV
  • Antiretroviral treatment adherence, including viral load suppression
  • Clinical manifestations of HIV disease
  • HIV monitoring and lab tests (i.e. CD4 ad viral load)
  • Retention and/or re-engagement in care
  • Neurocognitive issues on persons who have been on ART for > 15 years
  • Non-infection comorbidities of HIV and viral hepatitis
  • Case management
