Stigma associated with Substance Use Disorder, Mental Health, and HIV
By the end of this session, the learner will be able to:
- Discuss the impact of stigma and how it negatively influences the care offered to people with HIV, mental illness, and those struggling with substance use disorder
- Identify techniques to destigmatize HIV/Mental Illness/SUD
- Identify at least 2 trauma-informed approaches when working with these populations
- Define and identify protective factors
