Upon completion of the program, the participant will be able to:
- Define the terms related to the LGBTQ+ community, with a particular emphasis on those who are transgender and gender non-conforming.
- Recognize the types of gender affirming medical interventions transgender and gender non-conforming persons may undergo as well as the physiological changes that may occur during gender affirming treatment.
- Recall many of the social and envoirnmental stressors persons who identify as transgender and non-conforming persons may experience, particularly those with HIV.
- Describe opportunities to improve access and quality of health care for transgender and gender non-conforming patients with and without HIV.
