Description: An introduction to chronic stress effects on the cardiovascular and metabolic health and wellbeing of trans and gender diverse individuals. This lecture will include an overview of the psychophysiological mechanisms and effects of chronic stress, as well as emerging research on capturing and addressing stress factors and manifestations unique to LGBTQIA+ communities.

Objectivew: After this presentation, learners will be able to:
- Recognize the relationship between chronic stress exposure and cardiometabolic risk factors in LGBTQIA+ communities.
- Describe at least one (1) unique factor of ‘Minority Stress’ for trans and gender diverse patient populations.
- Identify at least one (1) follow up research for working on chronic stress with trans and gender diverse patient populations in HIV care or prevention of HIV
