Description

Cultural humility- Participants will discuss cultural humility, looking at its definitions, aspects, lenses, and its effects on patient care. 

LGBTQIA+- Gender Affirming Care: The emergency department nurse residency program session will cover LGBTQIA+ issues and a description of how to utilize pronouns. Gender-affirming care will be explored and how to incorporate into daily practice. Discussion surrounding conscious and unconscious bias to explore potential barriers to gender-affirming care. 

This will be a closed session for the ED Residents.

No Continuing Education Credits will be offered for this session.
