The Fundamentals of Waived Rapid HIV Testing course is a full day class that teaches participants how to run CLIA-waived rapid HIV tests. Pre-requistes for this course include the following:
- Successful completion of "The Facts" course within the past two years.
- Successful completion of "The Fundamentals of Prevention Counseling" course within the past two years.
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate safe work practices
- Identify the QA steps required before, during, and after rapid HIV testing
- List the steps of the HIV prevention counseling protocol in conducting the rapid HIV test
- Perform a waived rapid HIV test correctly
- Demonstration the integration of HIV prevention counseling into the rapid testing process.
Certificate of Completion
Certificates will be provided upon completing of this program which confirms 6.0 hours of training. 4.0 hours of virtual training and 2.0 training of demonstrating ability to run controls.
