This program is targeted to West Virginia health care providers and ancillary staff, espically those working in Emergency Departments.  The objectives are:

1. Understand what compassion fatigue is and your level of risk.
2. Understand and prepare for personal reactions you may experience when working with individuals who are not yet in recovery or are in early stages of recovery, including individuals with HIV.
3. Understand the difference between compassion fatigue and burnout.
4. Learn about and identify coping strategies.
5. Learn about relevant resources.

With completion of required evaluations CME, CNE, and Social Work continuing education credits will be available.
