This program focuses on both highlighting recent updates in HIV/AIDS treatment and care and the stigma and prejudice that People With HIV experience as significant barriers to treatment and care. It will feature presentations on HIV Treatment and the COVID-19 Vaccine; Aging and Co-Morbidities Experienced by People with HIV (Margaret Hoffman-Terry, MD); Housing Barriers Experienced by PLWH (Gabbreell James); Stigma (Rob Pompa, LCSW & Sara Krier, MD); Trauma-Informed Care (Laura Hinds, MSW, LCSW); LGBTQIA+-Experienced Barriers to Healthcare (Julie Walsh, MSW, LSW); and a Panel regarding Working on the Frontlines of HIV Care (both people with HIV and HIV healthcare staff will serve on the panel).
CME, CNE, and Social Work credits will be available to participants of this program who complete all required evaluations in their required timeframes.
