Description

This program, designed for employees of Ambulatory Health Services, will discuss female genital mutilation and how Black Women are affected by HIV and trauma.

Participants will be to: bring awareness on Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting for healthcare providers and the FBI's role in combatting FGM/C; recognize the physical, mental, emotional consequences and impact of FGM; offer strategies in light of trauma experiences that are endemic to Black Women living with HIV; examine ways trauma informed practice can be integrated into everyday practice.

Credits will include CME, Nursing and Social Work.
