This is the first event in the MAAETC's four part Minority AIDS Initiative (MAI) series. This program will evaluate the data associated with HIV among African-American women and the treatment and prevention challenges among this population. Helena Kwakwa, MD, MPH of the Philadelphia Department of Public Health will be the presenter.

Objectives
- Review key medical conditions with disproportionate impact on Black women.
- Identify some reasons for said health disparities.
- Describe the overlap between health conditions with disproportionate impact on Black women, and HIV.
- Determine concrete steps toward reducing health disparities for Black women.
