MCHD EHE SERIES - What is Gender Affirming Care?

A module for MoCo-based healthcare and social services staff about how to create environments and welcome and affirm trans and gender expansive clients. Objectives include:

1. Define gender affirming care
2. List barriers trans people experience when accessing healthcare and support services
3. Describe health disparities between cis and trans people, including but not limited to HIV
4. Describe how intersectional identity-based discrimination increase health risks.

Nursing and social work 1.0 CEU is offered for this event
