Program Description:
Today's event will focus on Strategies of HIV Care and Treatment Provision During an HIV Outbreak, the assessment and control of an outbreak of HIV among people who inject drugs (PWID) aas well as the state of the HIV epidemic in West Virginia in relation to injection drug use.
Target Audience: The intended audience for this webinar are physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, advance practice nurses, social work and ancillary team members.

12:10 - 1:10 p.m. Strategies of HIV Care and Treatment Provision During an HIV Outbreak by Kara Willenburg, MD FACP
Learn the need to have strategies in place prior to an HIV outbreak of HIV and describe the assessment and control of an outbreak of HIV among people who inject drugs.
1:10 - 2:10 p.m. Not My Holler, Not My Problem: The State of HIV and PrEP in WV by Sara Vincelli-Dozier, RN BSN
Define current HIV and hepatitis testing guidelines and importance of implementation; describe what PrEP is and identify clients and populations to benefit from it; how to prescribe PreP.
