This is the second webinar in a six-part series dedicated to HIV testing and counseling for healthcare workers in the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. The presenter will discuss the progression of HIV infection, modes of transmission, HIV prevention, and reducing stigma in HIV care.
Objectives
By the end of this event, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the risk behaviors leading to HIV transmission
- Identify the signs and symptoms of acute HIV infection
- Describe modes of HIV transmission
- Discuss the course of HIV disease with and without ART treatment
