The purpose of this mini training event is to provide you with the most recent information on noteworthy foci in the field of HIV/AIDS.  Because Acute HIV is often missed by health care providers, detection and early diagnosis for optimal patient health outcomes requires special consideration.  We will discuss the role Primary Care providers play in the care of HIV positive persons, review the importance of HIV case finding to reduce the number of new HIV infections and discuss PrEP as a safe and effective HIV prevention strategy.
