Course Description
This didactic webinar training will bring awareness to HIV being a cardiovascular risk factor, as well as, primary prevention methods for patients with HIV and patients without HIV. This training will also note the similarities and differences in approach providers may take to prevent cardiovascular disease with their patients, regardless of diagnoses.
Course Objectives
- Describe how human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) can be a cardiovascular risk factor
- Review primary prevention of cardiovascular disease among patients with HIV to patients without HIV
- Compare and contrast primary prevention of cardiovascular disease among patients with HIV to patients without HIV
