This program will provide information on the significance of HIV transmission, HIV prevention, and pre-exposure prophylaxis medication for individuals at risk for HIV infection. The target audience is Primary Care Providers and Healthcare Professionals in West Virginia.
Objectives
1.Review behavioral factors that would indicate increased risk of HIV exposure.
2.Discuss current literature and practice regarding the use of PrEP (Pre-exposure prophylaxis).
3.Describe and compare available forms and dosages of PrEP.
4.Identify relevant clinical considerations when prescribing PrEP.
