The MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center, West Virginia Regional Partner's mission is to increase providers' capacity to provide high-quality HIV/AIDS care within our healthcare systems. Changes occur rapidly in the HIV/AIDS arena, and all interested health care professionals should seek yearly updates to stay current.
Objectives:
Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:
1.Review behavioral factors that would indicate increased risk of HIV exposure.
2.Discuss current literature and practice regarding the use of PrEP (Pre-exposure prophylaxis).
3.Describe and compare available forms and dosages of PrEP.
4.Identify relevant clinical considerations when prescribing PrEP.
