Description

Course Description: Julie Newsome, LPC will provide best practices, tools, and tips for improving the health outcomes of clients through the use of medication and treatment adherence counseling techniques. These tools and tips will assist you in improving your skills and client health outcomes for medication adherence.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:

Define treatment adherence
Explain the importance of treatment adherence
Identify factors affecting treatment adherence
Identify strategies for helping clients overcome barriers to treatment adherence

Intended Audience: Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, Social Workers, Case Managers, and others who may be providing care for people with HIV/AIDS.

Certificate of Completion: A certificate showing 1 contact hour will be provided upon completion of this program
