Participants will be able to :
-Define health inequity, health disparity and health equity.
-Review the diverse ways in which black women in the US identify, encompassing their daily realities and lived experiences.
-Examine the social determinants, health inequities and disparities that disproportionately affect Black cisgender women and Black transgender women as related to HIV and other comorbidities.
-Address the ways in which those stressors uniquely experienced by Black women can impact individual and collective mental health.
-Identify the qualities to look for in a health care provider/clinician to best meet the needs of Black women living with HIV.
