This virtual extensive three day HIV clinical training program consists of two didactic days on Monday and Tuesday and one clinical training day in the future. On the first two days, expert faculty discuss cutting-edge HIV topics such as outpatient management, antiretroviral use, clinical use of resistance assays, co-morbidities including hepatitis C and STIs, management of women, perinatal transmission, psychosocial, substance use and legal issues.
The third day is spent in Drexel's HIV clinic. The clinical date is arranged by Susan Thompson, 215.246.5324, sthompson@healthfederation.org.
The target audience is physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, nurses and dentists. This course is designed for clinicians who are providing or plan to provide HIV care.
