The program reviews the comprehensive “ March 2016, CDC Infection Prevention Checklist for Dental Settings”.  The checklist format can be utilized as an “In office” evaluation tool, with columns denoting areas of compliance and non-compliance.  The CDC recommendations for administrative and clinical policies and procedures will be described.  Bloodborne and airborne pathogens, including HIV, HBV and HCV, as well as emerging diseases will be discussed. Treatment guidelines, pre and post exposure prophylaxis for HIV disease and vaccine candidates will be presented.
