Course Description:
This program will provide an overview of PrEP and nPrEP indications, prescribing guidelines, and best practices for implementation in primary care settings. Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Describe HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and current indications for PrEP, in a primary care setting.
- Describe oral and long-acting injectable medication options for PrEP and associated lab monitoring.
- Describe non-occupational post exposure prophylaxis (nPEP) protocols.
- Identify resources for PrEP.
