This training will be aimed at all members of the care team that will be involved in the prescribing and monitoring of PrEP. This includes physicians, nurses and social workers.

Upon completion of the training participants should be able to do the following:

• List eligibility criteria for initiating PrEP based upon risk assessment and current guidelines
• Describe the clinical monitoring and follow-up procedures for PrEP
• Discuss current payment options that can be used to cover the cost of PrEP

Dr. Ken Ho will be presenting a clinical overview on pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for clinicians at Adolescent Medicine of Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Dr. Ken Ho is the Medical Director for the Pitt Men’s Study, a site for the Multicenter AIDS Cohort Study, and the Medical Director for Project Silk. He is the Director of the HIV PrEP Clinic at UPMC. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
