Targeted Audience: Physicians, CRNP's, RN's, Pa-C's, Pharmacists, and allied health professionals
OBJECTIVES :
- Describe the epidemiologic profile of older persons aging up with HIV/AIDS in Baltimore, the US and around the world
- Describe the impact of aging with HIV as it relates to bone health
- Describe the impact of aging with HIV as it relates to diabetes
- Describe Current research on HIV and Aging
- Describe the impact of aging with HIV as it relates to Neurocognitive Disorders
- Describe the impact of aging with HIV as it relates to HCV Co-infection
- Identify the complexities of caring for an aging HIV population with depression
- Describe the challenges and successes of Long Term Survivors
- Identify resources available for older adults
- Monitor the patient and adjust care plan as needed
