Our health in part is determined by access to social and economic opportunities; education, healthcare access, neighborhood and built environment; and the nature of our social interactions and relationships. During this session, we will explore the impacts of these social determinants to the health (SDOH) of Delaware’s HIV population. Experiencing trauma itself can be considered a social determinant of health so we will identify strategies for addressing trauma and SDOH at the same time
At the end of this session, attendees will be able to:
- Explore SDOH
- Identify the relationship between Trauma and SDOH
- Explain the role of community workers in addressing SDOH with a Trauma Informed lens
- Share strategies to addressing SDOH issues for community workers
This will be a closed session for DE HIV Consortium case managers
There will be no CEU's available for this program
