This webinar is a two part series that will address medication adherence and the intersection of HIV telemedicine for those living in rural areas.
Course Description: Our Medication Adherence Series will provide professionals working with people with HIV and those on PrEP information about medication adherence, barriers to adherence and strategies for overcoming those barriers. Session 1 will focus on a review of HIV medications, the HIV life-cycle, PrEP and other factors.
Learning Objectives - Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Define the HIV replication and sites of action for antiretrovirals (ARV's)
- List ARV's and common side effects
- Discuss concerns about drug/drug interactions
- Describe barriers and facilitators to Medication Adherence
