PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Provides an overview of prevalent mental health issues among persons living with HIV and the subsequent impacts.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• Understand that people living with HIV have an increased risk of developing mental health difficulties, including stress, depression, and anxiety disorders.
• Identify tools, resources, and coping strategies that can provide essential emotional and mental help for those living with HIV.
• Recognize that good mental health promotes better physical health while living with HIV
• Initiate open, ongoing conversations between patients and healthcare providers about mental health issues.
