As a result of this program, participants will have an increased knowledge of COVID-19, organizational changes made to adapt to COVID-19, and strategies to mitigate the effects of future disasters.
This program will combine didactic lectures and illustrative case studies related to COVID-19, care and case management in order to enable treatment and case management teams to provide the best quality of services to their clients and their region.
Program Objectives
- Discuss the pathogenesis of COVID-19 and how it can be used to plan and implement treatment
- Discuss the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic and the concerns of the pandemic on the people with HIV
- Describe steps taken by the NorthWest Alliance to provide access to services and/or mitigate service interruptions
- Discuss strategies the NorthWest Alliance can integrate into current practices and future disaster events

The intended audience for this program is the program staff at NW Rural AIDS Alliance.

- Continuing Nursing Education (CNE): The MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association Approver Unit, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Continuing Education credits issued for participation in CE activity may not apply toward license renewal in all states. It is the responsibility of each participant to verify the requirements of their state licensing board(s).
