Part 1 of this virtual conference is designed for the community as one to address Medical and first responder issues surrounding the HIV outbreaks that are currently impacting our residents and ourselves. Attendees will be provided the most recent information regarding HIV prevention.
Objectives:
At the end of this program, participants should be able to:

Discuss current global, national, state HIV epidemiology, recognize transmission modes and stages of the disease process

Discuss the 2016 Updated Guidelines for Antiretroviral Post-exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) after Sexual, Injection Drug Use or Other Non-Occupational Exposure to HIV

Identify the impact of stigma that can be placed on persons with HIV.
Intended Audience
The intended audience for this conference are physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, advance practice nurses, social work, ancillary team members and first responders.
Accreditation
CME, Nursing, Social Worker and First Responder credit is provided with attendance and completion of required evaluations.
Continuing Education credits issued for participation in CE activity may not apply toward license renewal in all states. It is the responsibility of each participant to verify the requirements of their state licensing board(s).
