Description:This virtual extensive three dayCME HIV clinical training program consists of two didactic days on Monday and Tuesday and one clinical training day on Friday.
Monday and Tuesday March 15-16, 2021 is didactic day
Friday, March 19, 2021 is clinical discussion day
On the first two days, expert faculty discuss cutting-edge topics such as outpatient management, antiretroviral use, clinical use of resistance assays, co-morbidities including Hepatitis C and STIs, management of women, perinatal transmission, psychosocial, substance use and legal issues.
The thrid day will be virtual or in person depending on the requirements of infection control for COVID-19. Virtual clinical day will be a case discussion with 2-3 HIV expert faculty with active participant discussion. The in-person observation will be spent in Drexel's HIV clinic. The target audience is physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, nurses and dentists. This course is designed for clinicians who are providing or plan to provide HIV care. Continuing Medical Education credits are offered. This course is limited to 6-8 participants.
