Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Define Motivational Interviewing
- Identify the unique contribution motivational interviewing (MI) has on counseling outcomes
- Develop techniques to address barriers to motivational interviewing (MI)

The audience for this learning experience is medical and non-medical staff working in the HIV field.
