Description

The  first part of the program will presented by Dr. Valli Meeks. Dr. Meeks will discuss the oral manifestations of HIV disease, ie signs and symptoms. Recommended treatment modalities and medications will be reviewed. The development and interpretation of a medical consultation will also be included. 

The second part of the program will be presented by Ms. Christine Wisnom, RN.  She will be reviewing the CDC Guidelines for Infection control in the dental health care setting. Pre and post exposure prophylaxis for occupational esposure to Bloodborne pathogens and updated CDC guidelines for treating latent TB.
