Baltimore City Health Dept nurse requesting clinical observership in a community HIV clinic in order to improve skills as she considers working full time in HIV

arrangements made with a CRNP preceptor at Total Health Care, an urban FQHC

  • HIV Transmission Risk Assessment
  • Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP)
  • Antiretroviral treatment adherence, including viral load suppression
  • Clinical manifestations of HIV disease
  • HIV diagnosis (i.e. HIV testing)
  • HIV monitoring and lab tests (i.e. CD4 ad viral load)
  • Linkage to Care
  • Retention and/or re-engagement in care
  • Sexually transmitted infections
