As a result of this program, participants will have an increased knowledge of health literacy tools and resources.
This program will combine didactic lectures and illustrative case studies related to HIV prevention, care and case management in order to enable treatment and case management teams to provide the best quality of services to their clients and their region.
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Identify current trends in HIV prevention, care and case management
- Describe methods for applying HIV prevention, care and case management concepts through illustrative case studies
- Discuss implementation of HIV prevention, care and case management concepts at individual, organizational and regional levels
Program Objectives
- Identify key aspects of health literacy and how to measure patient health literacy level
- Describe how to appropriately explain medical information based on patient health literacy level
- Discuss implementation of health literacy through illustrative case studies, tools and resources
