MAAETC HIV Clinical Training
Addressing Care in the HIV High-Risk Population

Half-day Didactic Learning February 19, 2019, - 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
Half-day Clinical Rotation, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM scheduled after completion of didactic session.
This is an opportunity for healthcare professionals to participate in one half day didactic training focused on HIV training and another half day of clinical rotation. You will receive 4 contact hours after completion of both half day trainings.
This program includes curriculum developed by faculty of the MAAETC. Lectures, case discussions, and clinical rotations are the key point in this educational opportunity. Attendees will benefit by gaining HIV/AIDS knowledge and experience so that they can provide the best quality of care to their patients.
Course objectives:
- Review HIV/AIDS/STI Epidemiology Update
- Identify the value of interprofessional collaboration for the high-risk HIV patient
- Discuss HIV & Street Drugs Complications
- Review guidelines for use of PEP and considerations for healthcare professionals
