STATE AND LOCAL OFFICIALS TO PROVIDE UPDATE ON THE HIV CLUSTER AMONG INTRAVENOUS DRUG USERS IN SOUTHERN WEST VIRGINIA
Welcome to the Fifteenth Annual HIV in West Virginia Conference. The conference intends to inform participants on issues relative to the past, present and future of HIV/AIDS. The conference offers a dynamic course agenda with expert faculty speaking on clinically and socially relevant issues to include but not limited to Treatment as Prevention, HIV Criminalization and Anxiety in the Context of HIV. Material will be presented through a combination of didactic lectures, panel presentations and discussion, and opportunities for interactive questions and answers.
Once again, this conference offers WV healthcare professionals the opportunity to link with currently funded Ryan White HIV care providers as well as other HIV specific agencies across the state. The yearly goals of this conference are to enhance health care providers’ knowledge base regarding the provision of health care for those living with HIV and to augment improved patient outcomes for the HIV positive individual.
