Social Media and Social Work: A Question of Ethics

Upon Completion of this presentation, participants will be able to:

·         Recognize how sound ethics impact social networking practices when engaged on social networks

·         Define social media ethics code and ethical social networking conduct

·         Asses the difference between what Social workers can and should do when using social media

 Making the Tough Call - To Report or Not to Report: That Is the Ethical Dilemma

Upon Completion of this presentation, participants will be able to:

·        Identify signs of child abuse and neglect (CAN)

·        Differentiate between a situation that must be reported or should not reported

·        Differentiate between information that are necessary to initiate a formal assessment by Child Protective Services
